Background of Bangabandhu Ain Chatro Parishad

The followers of Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman resident in Europe set up the All European Bangabondhu Society (Porishad) at a meeting in Dhaka Hall on the 16th September 1998.

The main objectives of the organisation was to illustrate the life and works of Sheikh  Mujibur Rahman the founding father of Bangladesh and to continually keep awareness of his ideologies.

The first seminar was held in the House of Commons on 17th March 1980, the seminar was chaired by Sir Thomas Williams MP.
